I had a very extensive debate with an ordained minister from the UMC who said if we didn’t get on board with this movement and love this beautiful world God made we would soon cease to be. I quoted numerous Scriptures that showed that Jesus did not and does not support this argument. But it’s obvious everything they responded with was based solely on feelings and emotions, rather than truth and the solid foundation of Jesus. It’s really sad to see how they interpret things to fit their ideology
